Dr Roux with experience in general and gynaecological surgery, has had exposure in skin cancer management and surgery for 30 years. Over the last 15 years Dr Roux pursued skin cancer medicine as a special interest. This included a part time dedicated skin cancer clinic in North Queensland.

Since moving to Toowoomba in 2015, he has been dedicated to skin cancer management only. He contract skin cancer services to General Practice as well as Queensland Health and operate out of 8 different clinics. This involves 2 clinics in Toowoomba and one in the Sunshine Coast. About every 2 months Dr Roux also does an outreach skin cancer clinic for Queensland Health in the far South-West of the state. This usually rotates between Thargomindah, Cunnamulla, Quilpie, Augathella and Morven.

In 2019 Dr Roux completed his Masters Degree in Skin Cancer (MMed - skin cancer) with the University of Queensland. He is also a member of the SCCA (Skin Cancer College of Australasia).

He offers full body photography, dermatoscopy and dermatoscopic photography. Since the winter of 2019 he also offer state of the art AI (Artificial Intelligence) analysis of lesions on DermEngine - accessing comparative analysis of similar world wide identified lesions.

Dr Roux has had extensive training and experience in topical treatment of skin cancer and pre-malignant conditions - this include Cryo Therapy, PDT (Photodynamic Therapy), Electrocauterisation and topical creams.

Diagnostic procedures include punch biopsies, shave biopsies and partial/wedge biopsies. A wide range of surgical procedures are offered, including elliptic excisions, facial surgery, slow Mohs surgery, cosmetic repair options, various skin flap repairs and skin grafts.
